At QRMP we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your personal data is handled safely, lawfully, and transparently. This CCTV Privacy Notice explains how we use information collected through our CCTV systems.

We operate CCTV across our premises to maintain a safe and secure environment for our staff, visitors, and property.
2. What Data We Collect
Our CCTV system may record:
- Video footage of individuals on our premises
- Still images
- Vehicle registration numbers
- Limited visual information that may identify individuals or incidental special category data (e.g. visible disabilities)
We do not record audio.
3. Why We Use CCTV
We process CCTV data for the following purposes:
- Ensuring the safety and security of staff and visitors
- Protecting property and preventing crime
- Monitoring unauthorised access to restricted areas
- Assisting in the investigation of incidents, disputes, or legal claims
- Supporting law enforcement when required
- Internal training purposes (with appropriate redaction when necessary)
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process CCTV footage under the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests – to ensure security, prevent crime, and manage access to our premises
- Legal obligations – complying with law enforcement or court orders
- Legal claims – handling, defending, or pursuing claims
- Prevention or detection of unlawful acts – specifically for any special category data unintentionally captured
5. Who Has Access to the Footage
Access to CCTV footage is strictly limited to authorised QRMP personnel.
Footage may be shared with:
- Law enforcement agencies
- Insurance providers
- Legal representatives
- Third-party security or IT providers (for maintenance only)
- Other parties when legally required
We will always ensure appropriate safeguards and only share footage when lawful and necessary.
We do not:
- Sell CCTV data
- Use it for marketing
- Publish it publicly or on social media
6. Retention Period
CCTV footage is normally retained for 28 days.
Footage may be stored longer if:
- Part of an ongoing investigation
- Required for legal or insurance purposes
- Needed for incident review or disciplinary processes
When no longer needed, footage is permanently and securely overwritten.
7. Your Rights
You may have the following rights under applicable data protection laws:
- The right to be informed about how we use your data
- The right to request access to footage in which you appear
- The right to request correction, restriction, or deletion of your personal data
- The right to object to processing
- The right to data portability (where applicable)
Please note:
- Requests may require verification of identity
- We may need to redact other individuals from footage
- We may refuse requests if disclosure would compromise investigations or the rights of others
