Receptionist

Are you passionate about healthcare and driven by excellence? QRMP, a welcoming and patient-focused general medical practice, is strengthening its Reception Team and seeking an enthusiastic permanent Receptionist.

Queens Road Medical Practice is a dedicated general medical practice committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to our community. Our team values compassion, integrity, and excellence in patient care.

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday with a potential half day per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To promote and foster a positive, collaborative and inclusive environment that seeks to develop teamwork, new ideas and open communication.
  • Participate fully in the ‘Practice Improvement Plan.’
  • Maintaining the smooth running of reception.
  • Greeting patients in a warm and welcoming fashion.
  • Ensuring patients are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring the reception and waiting areas are kept safe, clean, and tidy.
  • Ensuring reception area is always staffed.
  • Book/check/alter appointments with all clinicians. 
  • Take payments.
  • Issue Invoices / Allocating payments. 
  • Collect and verify patient details/email addresses for Practice records. 
  • Ensure patient information is available and up-to-date.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: GCSE – Math and English “C” or above.
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience required:
    • Experience in working face to face with people.
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Good customer relation skills.
    • Confident, professional, and happy manner.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
    • High level of accuracy.
    • Basic typing skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
