Accounts Assistant

Are you passionate about healthcare and committed to excellence? QRMP, a dedicated general medical practice is looking for a motivated, full-time, permanent Accounts Assistant to enhance our team! 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Check and action ‘Accounts’ tray in PA office. 
  • Balance Accounts credit card payments at end of day and cash up front desk tills each morning.
  • Roman Cart (website payments) reconciliation, daily.
  • Update Supplementary Benefit Medical order numbers as necessary.
  • Primary Care charging.
  • Run under 18’s report to ensure accurate charging.
  • Divert phones to Telephony at end of day and remove first thing each morning.
  • Run unallocated report daily and allocate payments accordingly.
  • Sending out appropriate statements and schedules in a timely manner monthly.
  • To ensure all receipts for BACS, online, telephone, insurances, or other are entered into the Medibooks system in a timely fashion, reconciliation.
  • To liaise with Medibooks and general trouble shooting of billing problems.
  • Check daily appointment charges in a timely manner.
  • To liaise with patients regarding any queries on insurances or outstanding charges.
  • To record, respond and complete patient messages / queries in billing in a timely manner usually via email or telephone.
  • To ensure that all general workloads are completed in a timely manner in the Account Head of Department’s absence with the addition of running insurance schedules, allocating insurance payments and charging occupational health.
  • Liaise with the department, Doctors, Clinicians, PA’s, Executives. Patients, Social Security and others as appropriate.
  • Any other tasks as reasonably required. 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Qualifications: Maths and English GCSE (C or above) or equivalent. 

  • Experience: Previous experience preferred but not essential. 

Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong attention to detail; excellent communication skills. 

Traits: Flexible, team-oriented, and able to handle sensitive information confidentially.
