Dermatology is the branch of medicine concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the skin, hair, nails and adjacent mucous membranes.

We offer regular appointments  aiming to provide patients with the convenience of both a diagnosis and then scheduling for appropriate treatment wherever possible.  As well as medical conditions, such as acne, eczema and psoriasis, we also treat problems such as warts, scars and age-related skin changes.  We provide a variety of therapies and treatments including cauterization, cryosurgery (liquid nitrogen treatment) and surgical excisions.

If you have a skin lesion that you are worried about and would like to consider having it removed we have several doctors who undertake these procedures including members of the local, multidisciplinary skin cancer team.

To decide whether surgery is appropriate please book an appointment to see one of these Doctors where the lesion will be fully assessed and if appropriate a date for a minor surgical procedure will be arranged.  Complex or large skin lesions may need referral to the Medical Specialists if the operation needs to be undertaken in hospital.
