Dr Swainston originally comes from Yorkshire and trained at Birmingham Medical School, qualifying in 1996.

Dr Swainston moved to Guernsey with her husband in 2002 and has been working at Queens Road since September of that year.

She enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a particular interest in children and women’s health, as well as palliative care and also is heavily involved in our Occupational Health service.

Since joining the Practice, she has had two children and now works part-time with much of her free time taken up with the fun and challenges of parenthood.
